Alpaca

Our Alpaca yarn is a fine and luxurious 2-ply 100% Alpaca.

It is ideal for delicate scarves, shawls, or light sweaters, knitted with 1 or 2 strands.

Our Alpaca is perfect as a companion yarn for our other yarn types: Coast, Supersoft, and Soul.

Any of these yarn types become much softer when combined with Alpaca.

It also creates many exciting color effects when combining the yarns, and the colors in Alpaca harmonize beautifully with our other yarn types.

Yarn length: Approx. 400 meters per 50g.

Knitted with 1 strand on needles 2½-3 mm (about 25 stitches per 10 cm)

Knitted with 2 strands on needles 3½-4 mm (about 23 stitches per 10 cm)

Our Alpaca is primarily used as a companion yarn for other qualities. Here are some suggestions:

Alpaca and Coast are knitted on needles 3.0 – 4.0

Alpaca and Supersoft are knitted on needles 3.0 – 4.0

Alpaca and Soul are knitted on needles 3.5 – 4.0

The general rule is that when our fine Alpaca is used as a companion yarn, you should go up about ½ needle size from what you would normally use.
